The goal was to help golfers with mobility issues — bad backs, bad knees, arthritis — place a ball and tee into the ground without bending or kneeling. A few similar products already exist, but users consistently complain that they're hard to use, break easily, and don't let you adjust tee height. We set out to fix all three, and to place a ball and tee consistently across different ground conditions.
Build
The final prototype combines aluminum tubing for the frame, Dyneema cord for tension, an FDM 3D-printed cage to hold the ball and tee, threaded rods for height adjustability, and a wood base for stability.

Results
The design consistently placed a ball and tee into the ground — first-time users needed an average of just 1.8 tries to get it right, and our fastest recorded placement was 5.26 seconds, well within how long it normally takes to tee up by hand.
